私は抽象画家ですが、対話（言葉）も大切に取り扱いながら制作をしています。
その背景には、幼少期を海外で過ごした際に痛感した“言葉の壁”があります。当時、英語が喋れず孤独でしたが、同じような境遇にいた韓国人の同級生と、互いの母国語を喋りながらも意思疎通ができました。この原体験から「人は言語を超えて、心で繋がることができる」ことを実感しました。
逆説的ですが、だからこそ、私は対話にも重きを置いています。言葉の奥にあるエネルギーを感じ取ることで、「今」に内包されているすべての感覚を、世界共通言語である絵画に昇華させています。
自分との対話、他者との対話、社会との対話、自然との対話ー。対象はその時々で変わりますが、対話を通して「今この瞬間」に耳を傾けること、それが私にとって描く行為そのものです。

Having spent my childhood abroad and worked in multicultural environments before turning to art, I have used my creative practice to explore ways of connecting and expressing that transcend language and cultural boundaries.

While artists are often associated with self-expression, central to my practice is the art of dialogue — with myself, with others, and with spaces, society and nature — captivating and translating the energy from the interactions into my work. My art becomes a devotion to the spaces and people I encounter, whether through live paintings that celebrate a moment in time, or through Dialogue Drawing®, a form of portraiture through intentional conversation.
